Macgourmet Deluxe Reviews
MacGourmet Deluxe can help you collect, edit, use, and share your favorite recipes and recipe-related notes in an easy, intuitive, iTunes-style interface, which is much improved over previous versions. This Deluxe version includes all three optional plug-ins for MacGourmet: the Mealplan (to help schedule meals and sync up with iCal), Cookbook (for creating and sharing PDF cookbooks), and built-in nutritional data from the USDA database (which makes it easy to calculate nutritional info for entire recipes). The main recipe interface is highly customizable and includes a large, easy-to-read 'Chef View' for laptop-assisted cooking, which you can control with speech recognition or an Apple Remote. MacGourmet's recipe import assistant and integration with Safari makes importing recipes from the Web almost effortless (especially for the app's supported list of over 40 popular recipe sites).

This software is great at building a recipe database on your Mac. It allows you to personalize your recipes by adding keywords, ingredients, etc. You can portion the recipes down for reduced servings. You can build a quick-search list based on a keyword like 'Kids' or 'Eggs.'It comes with a grocery store feature that lets you build a shopping list. With customization you can assign an order to this list based on store and aisle. If you don't shop much for your house this can be handy when you're handed a list to go do the shopping.
It has a great chef view that shows the recipe in large font and on an easy to read background for cooking without flipping through the screen or running back over to the computer.
Haven't used the wine feature, but it can track the wines you've tried.
The big drawback to the software is that the iPhone/iPad app gets horrible reviews due to synchronization problems. If they ever fix that problem, I think they'd have a solid hit over Paprika or similar recipe apps.
It's a very robust recipe suite for Macs. But it for Mac if you're looking for a really complete recipe program.
